Domanas Smaizys

I work with fashion design, artistic direction and visual arts in Copenhagen. I hold a Master of Arts degree from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and BA in Business of Fashion. My creative practice spans fine art, fashion design, artistic direction for visual campaigns, drawing, short film directing, textile sculpture and hosting fashion presentations — always driven by a desire to explore contemporary expressions through both modern culture and historic archetypes. I have presented my work at various cultural institutions, including the Contemporary Art Centre Vilnius, Copenhagen Fashion Week, and group shows at The David Collection Museum.

Alongside supporting global brands such as Loewe, previously Acne Studios, Rotate, - I continue exploring my creative practice presenting work in exhibitions and contemporary art spaces across Europe.

My designs and artistic explorations have been featured in leading publications such as Vogue Italia, British i-D, L’Officiel, and Fucking Young, and I have been recognized with awards and scholarships from institutions including the 15 Juni Fonden Art Foundation in Denmark, Eyes On Talents in France, and the Lithuanian Council for Culture.
